A good news and a
bad news - which one you want to hear first?
(1)
At our committee meeting last week, we counted the
number of alumni/friends interested in “Picnic at Hanging Rock” on the
labour day holiday. The number was a disappointing nine. Given that
there are only a few days before the picnic is held, there is probably
not enough time to lure more participants to make the trip affordable.
The committee has therefore decided to cancel the trip.
For those who have expressed your interest in joining this function
please note that the Picnic at
Hang Rock is not going to happen and you can now
save some money for
doing something else.

To replace the picnic as our March activity, the
committee has decided to have a
dinner outing on the night of the 12th (Sunday) to
celebrate our Table-tennis victory against Pui Ching
Alumni. The CUHK-Pui Ching Friendship TT Tournament Trophy is now
with us and will be presented at the dinner.
Venue: SSStyle
Chinese Restaurant (Zi Mei Guan in Mandarin), modern Shanghainese
cuisine
2/21 Andersons Creek Rd., Doncaster East (Melway

If you and
your friends would like to join in the Sunday dinner please email
Edmond Luk (edmondandida_luk@bigpond.com
) by Friday the 10th.
Now you
have an excuse to spend the
money you saved because of the cancellation of the
picnic.
I let you decide
which one is the good news and which one is the bad news, but there is
no need to tell me what you think in your return email.
Cheers,
Edmond
